Programme Poétiques et politiques du Plurivers
Les appels à mettre en œuvre des pratiques décoloniales dans les espaces de création, d'enseignement et de recherche se font aujourd'hui plus urgents que jamais : pendant bien trop longtemps, la connaissance fut confinée à des modes monologiques de perception, de sensation et de vision d'un monde unique et de son devenir (Grada Kilomba, 2021). Ce monde, compris de manière univoque, était modelé et dominé par des sujets humains devenus « comme maîtres et possesseurs de la nature » (Descartes). Les idées universalistes des Lumières ont relégué à la périphérie les systèmes de connaissance qui reconnaissaient la multiplicité des mondes vécus, perçus comme irrationnels et primitifs (Fátima Hurtado Lopez, 2017). Le moment est aujourd'hui venu de prendre du recul et de reconfigurer les façons dont nous avons appris à penser et à sentir dans des mondes différents - un passage de l'universel au pluriversel. Avec le cycle de journées d'études Poétiques et politiques du Plurivers, coorganisé par des activistes-artistes-chercheur·es du Sud global et du Nord global vivant entre Tübingen et Toulouse, nous invitons les participant·es à prendre part à cette conversation, à créer un espace inclusif pour sentir-penser de multiples cosmologies, cosmopoétiques et cosmopolitiques.
The arts, the humanities and the social sciences urgently need to answer the calls to decolonize their curricular and academic spaces. For far too long, knowledge has been confined to singular modes of seeing, feeling, and perceiving one unique world and what is to become of it (Grada Kilomba, 2021). This world has been understood in its univocity, which, along with its other inhabitants, can be moulded and dominated by human subjects. The universalist ideas of Enlightenment and violent Euro-colonial occupation have pushed knowledge systems perceived to be irrational and primitive to the periphery, systems that represent a multiplicity of life-worlds (Fátima Hurtado Lopez, 2017). Now is the time to take a step back and rethink the ways we have been taught to think and feel in different worlds - a move away from universal and towards pluriversal. With the cycle of workshops Poetics and Politics of the Pluriverse, co-organised by activists-artists-researchers from the Global South and the Global North living and acting between Tübingen and Toulouse, we invite participants to take part in a new conversation, to create an inclusive space to feel-think multiple narratives and cosmologies.
