Le 12 décembre 2012, j'ai l'honneur de vous convier à un évènement exceptionnel à Toulouse qui prendra place au Obohem Bar dans le quartier Saint-Michel : une grande lecture en soutien aux Pussy Riot.
L'appel lancé par le festival international de la Littérature berlinois à des lectures pour les Pussy Riot à l'échelle mondiale a particulièrement retenu mon attention dès le premier jour.
Des poètes OBERIU à Judith Butler, en passant par Virginia Woolf, Simone de Beauvoir, Shulamith Firestone, Mikhail Boulgakov ou Bakounine, nous lirons des textes qui ont construit le pouvoir d'un mode de pensée « hors du commun ». Avec cela, nous lirons également des extraits des déclarations des Pussy Riot lors de leur procès, des anecdotes de leurs avocats et également des poèmes de Maria Alyokhina. Je présenterai également les projets « Catechism : Poems for Pussy Riot » et « Binders full of women », des initiatives littéraires liées exclusivement ou en partie aux Pussy Riot dont l'originalité et la puissance sont grandioses. La liste complète des textes présentés sera publiée aux alentours du 20 novembre sur cette page.
Féminisme, politique, Art et littérature ont toujours été intimement liés dans l'idée de protestation, dans l'optique d'une Révolution et les Pussy Riot, au-delà du simple fait de se revendiquer de certains auteurs, ont à elles seules, créé une nouvelle plume dissidente que je vous invite à venir découvrir mi-décembre.

The « P » Riot : an exceptional reading for PUSSY RIOT.

On December 12th 2012, I have the priviledge to invite you to an exceptional event in Toulouse which will take place at the "Obohem Bar" in Saint-Michel neighborhood : a grand lecture supporting PUSSY RIOT.
The appeal launched by the International Litterature Festival in Berlin for a Worldwide Reading for Pussy Riot on 12 December 2012 specifically caught my attention since the first day.
From the OBERIU poets to Judith Butler, going through Virginia Woolf, Simone De Beauvoir, Shulamith Firestone, Elfriede Jelinek, Mikhail Boulgakov and Bakunin, we will read many texts that built the power of a new "uncommon" way of thinking. We will also read the Pussy Riot's court statements, some official statements by their lawyers and also, many poems written by Maria Alyokhina. Plus, I will present the projects "Catechism : Poems for Pussy Riot" and "Binders Full of Women" : two literary initiatives linked exclusively or partly to Pussy Riot. These two projects have shown both originality and power in an incredible way. The complete list of the presented texts will be published around November 20th on this event page.
Feminism, politics, Art and literature have always been intimately linked around the idea of protest and looking toward a Revolution. The Pussy Riot, beyond the simple fact that they quoted and admire some writers, have created a new dissident writing style which I invite you to discover on December 12th.
